Today my wife had a seizure for the first time ever. I called 999 for assistance. The call was put into a waiting line and took around 2 minutes to be answered.
Once through to the service the agent advised there were no ambulances available and that a clinical advisor would call me back.
This is the second time in a few days where we have called for an ambulance (the first time was a suspected appendix burst) and have been unable to have an ambulance attend.
I feel the service is very strained and poor just now. I understand that there are budget pressures and covid and other sickness absences, but I'm concerned that the limited availability of ambulances.
