My experience of the Dame Carol Detoxification unit has been good from the moment I arrived. All of the staff have been amazing. They made it really easy to settle in. They have always been there if I needed support and happy to help. The food has been fantastic and I have been eating regular meals, which I was not before I came to the service.
The rooms are nice and comfortable and there is plenty of area's to relax. There are regular groups held both by staff and outside agencies (AA/ NA/ CA). I have found these really helpful and will want to carry on attending these after I leave. My time at the unit has meant that I now feel better about and within myself.
