About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Stepping Hill Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I had to attend A&E at Stepping Hill Hospital after receiving injuries in a professional boxing contest. The medics at the venue had left without attending to me.

I had several cuts that needed gluing, a scratched cornea on my left eye and a badly swollen right hand that, thankfully, turned out not to be broken after an xray.

I was in pain and could barely see my way around.

The service I received was excellent! A thorough check up that put my mind at ease, and personable treatment from all staff.

I was mainly attended to by Loraine, whom I am extremely grateful to, for making an unpleasant experience that bit more tolerable, with her pleasant manner.  I'm extremely grateful to all the staff on that night for their time and thorough professional help .

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. I am sorry to see that you sustained injuries that meant you needed to attend A&E but pleased that the care you received was thorough and professional.
