"Admitted to CAU for assessment"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Clinical assessment unit

(as a service user),

The whole team were fantastic from start to finish, except 1 nurse.

I was admitted to CAU for assessment, due to failing health.
Nurses, students, consultants, health care assistants, porters, junior doctors, domestic snd housekeeping, what an excellent team. A special shout out to the lovely domestic staff who had me laughing, when I thought it wasn’t possible. ⭐️
They were very supportive to patients, but also appeared to work great as a team. Working under extreme pressure and at times short staffed, but always kind.

It took one staff member's attitude for me to write this.
Maybe they were having a bad day, stressed or upset. However please be mindful of attitude. Not just to patients, but relatives too.

I appreciate you taking the time to get in touch, it’s really important that we hear from our patients about their experiences. Thank you for sharing a balanced view of the care you received, its very useful to listen and learn from our patients. I would like to apologise for the negative attitude of one of our members of staff. This is not how we expect our staff to behave.

I will share your feedback to the CAU team. I would also really like the opportunity to investigate your experience further, you can contact me on pamela.scott@nhs.scot or call me on 01324 567472
