"Nothing but praise"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

I was sent to the Women's Centre for Health for a hysterectomy for endometrial cancer from Torbay Hospital. It was a very frightening time for me, made so much easier by the speed I was dealt with and the kindness and professionalism undertaken by the medical team and nursing staff. I was handled with dignity and felt informed and in the very best of hands. We were particularly impressed by the surgeon ringing my husband to reassure him and let him know how the operation had gone - the human touch goes a long way. In spite of being short staffed, I never felt my care or treatment were compromised in any way and want to reassure anyone else having to go through a similar procedure that they will receive the very best of surgical treatment and nursing care.
