"My daughters chronic constipation"

About: Community Services / Bladder & Bowel Care

(as a parent/guardian),

Had phone call appointments over 18 months, after a GP referral. Always friendly and helpful information/advice given. Drink charts and toilet sit charts were helpful and a good visual for my 4 year old. The only thing that could have been better was the suggestion of sodium picosulfate earlier in the treatment, as that changed things pretty much overnight. Using movicol had been difficult due to constantly having to change amounts and trying to get my daughter to drink it.

Dear victoriaplum8,

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback you experience of the service. I am really pleased that the outcome for your daughter has been positive, although I do recognise this was quite a long time for you all. I would very much welcome the opportunity of reviewing your daughters records, as it is important for us to learn how we can make future decisions and treatment pathways for other children more streamlined. If you are happy to do so then please do contact me on claire.lindsay@nhs.net

kind regards

Claire Lindsay
