I had to go in for a procedure under general anaesthetic in the pink zone, ARI.
I felt a little nervous but all the staff were so lovely and made me feel at ease and kept checking on me, when I woke up after surgery my 1 to 1 nurse was lovely and really looked after me and helped me call my husband to let him know I was OK which I really appreciated. My whole experience was a very positive one.
However the aftercare I have to say was not very good as 5 and a ½ weeks later I still don't have my biopsy results and have had to chase this up with 2 secretaries and still have no answers.
I was told I would get my results within 2 weeks but found out the surgeon was off sick and the secretary on annual leave... surely although this can't be helped should I still have to wait so long?
Although everything is probably fine it's still at the back of your mind what if there is a problem... 5 and a half weeks is not an acceptable time to still be waiting on results, so this part of my experience is not good unfortunately.
Hoping to hear soon...
