"I cannot speak more highly of all concerned"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital / Accident and emergency Pinderfields General Hospital / Urology Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

A few days ago I awoke to find I had a bad pain in my back/tummy which got steadily worse causing cold sweats and unbearable pain! I rang 111 and was dealt with quickly and the second person I answered questions to ordered me an ambulance which arrived within 15 minutes! The team of paramedics were very good and efficient and got me into the ambulance and on morphine very quickly and up to Pinderfields Hospital where I was quickly on to a comfy trolley and into A&E where I was given various tests, put on a drip and though I don't remember a lot of it due to the morphine I know I was well cared for until they finally got rid of the pain and I was taken for a scan!

This showed that I had a kidney stone which was now on it's way down the tube! I was taken up to the Surgical Assessment ward and kept in overnight in case I needed surgery. Nurses doctors and everyone concerned were very kind, helpful and professional and I was released next day! I have already received a follow up appointment with the stone clinic! I cannot speak more highly of all concerned in my treatment! A big Thank You to all the staff concerned!!

I am really pleased to hear of your positive experience and excellent care in both our Emergency Department and on our Surgical Assessment Unit. It is great to read how our teams worked so well together to deliver such excellent care.
