"5 star treatment"

About: Cloughreagh House

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The kindness of the staff and their patience with the patients, I have never experienced before. The food and all my meals served with the greatest care could only be compared with a 5  star hotel. The cleanliness of the bedrooms, bathroom, dining room is superb.

I was discharged from Daisy Hill to Cloughreagh House as a stepping stone to regain my strength and to achieve the wellness and confidence I feel now.  I have had every possible assistance from physiotherapists, occupational therapists and care staff, all of which helped me to regain my confidence in walking and all movements.  I was more than happy to be here in the bad weather cosy and warm in Cloughreagh House.

In the current pandemic of COVID it is a very wise decision not to have visitors, I was able to communicate by telephone or by speaking at the window. I would be happy to return here at any time and would recommend it to anybody

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your short stay rehabilitation experience in Cloughreagh following your hospital admission.

I will pass on your positive comments and appreciation for the support you received from both the rehabilitation clinicians and care team who have enabled your recovery during your stay.

During Corvid we have had to make some difficult decisions one of which has been about restricting visits to the home. I would like to personally thank you for your comments on this your support is important and this enables us to continue to keep every one in our care safe and well.

Thank you again I hope you continue to improve when you discharge home and that you remain safe, and well over the winter months.

Kind regards, Tierna Armstrong
