"Care received in 7c RVH"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Acute Medical Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter who has special needs was admitted to 7c. It was obviously a very anxious time for her and the family. The staff allowed me as her mum to stay with her throughout the day. They were so kind and compassionate, always checking in on us and offering tea and biscuits. Nothing was too much trouble. The ward appeared to be really busy and staff run off their feet but they always had a kind smile and offered words of comfort. Special thanks to the sister and deputy sister who appeared to manage the ward very well, and had time to sit and chat. It's the small things that make a difference.

Good afternoon Susan, my name is Mandy Dougan, I am the Lead Nurse in Medicine.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. The team in Ward 7c endeavour to ensure that all our patients and their families have a positive experience during their stay with us and are treated with kindness and compassion.

Your feedback means a great deal to us in these challenging times and will help us to continue to keep patients and their families at the heart of everything we do in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care. I have shared your kind words with the team and would like to thank you once again on their behalf

Many thanks again, and good wishes to your daughter,

Mandy
