"My colectomy - caring, tolerant, helpful and friendly staff"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I have just returned home from a stay in the Day Surgery Unit, Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Despite its name I spent six days in the unit after undergoing a colectomy and I wish to express my gratitude for the excellent care I received from the staff there - from the surgeons to the cleaners.

I don't think I could have been looked after better.

All were so caring, tolerant, helpful and friendly to an elderly, apprehensive character.

Dear old bookworm

Thank you for taking the time to post about your recent experience in Day Surgery, I know it can be quite confusing staying in Day Surgery for 6 days but we have never got round to changing the name since we expanded our list of procedures carried out within the department.

I am delighted to see you received excellent care and found the staff to be friendly and caring, I will pass on your lovely comments to all the staff involved with your care.

Wishing you well in your recovery

Kind regards

Mandy
