"My wife's time in hospital"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Gastroenterology

(as a relative),

My wife was admitted to the Gastro and Liver ward at RCHT Treliske after transferring from a "holding ward". She wasn't given lunch as she apparently arrived too late - through no control of her own. The evening meal was of horrendous quality.

I dropped a night bag up to her and it took over 90mins to reach her.

When the shift handover took place, nobody came to introduce themselves and despite her ringing the help buzzer for 30mins, nobody came to see her, even though talking and laughter was heard at the nurses station.

I feel that this level of care is more than inadequate.

If you would like to, please raise your concerns formally with the Patient and Family Experience team (Complaints) using the details below. I have already shared your story with the team, so please do reference this post if you decide to contact them.
