"Post-natal care"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care (Wards 21-24)

(as a relative),

My partner and son spent 5 days in the post-natal ward in University Hospital Wishaw. A few complications meant that baby had to be moved to NICU without mum for a few hours and receive ongoing care afterwards.

Every member of staff, from doctors and midwives through to cleaning staff were fantastic in supporting mum through this time. They kept us in the loop regarding exactly what was happening and why it was happening and made mum feel at ease.

We couldn’t have asked for a higher standard of physical or emotional care through this period than was provided by the staff at University Hospital Wishaw.

Thank You from all of us.

Dear D&A,

Firstly can I take the opportunity to congratulate you on the birth of your son from all of us here in Maternity.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share you and your partners experience with us. I will be sure to share this with staff who strive to provide person centred care to all and will be pleased to hear of the positive impact on you.

Best wishes,

Leah
