"Attended Minor Injuries"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter hurt her wrist and attended A& E 9 days ago.   She is unable   to move wrist or thumb since visit to A& E despite removing splint that was given. Attended minor injuries today and was given no further clinical assessment, splint not even removed. Advised that they had rechecked X-ray but couldn’t see anything as had been signed off by a consultant that the staff within minor injuries would not do anything and that she should attend GP.   As a NHS employee I am extremely disappointed that she did not receive a clinical assessment and she felt embarrassed and made to feel that she had wasted staffs time attending
