"Going to Robin House"

About: Robin House

(as a parent/guardian),

My Daughter  has a very rare disorder. She requires 24hr care. Last November she went through spinal surgery. At present, due to COVID, respite care is very restricted. CHAS (Childrens Hospices Association Scotland) have been there for us.

They have allowed my daughter to go to Robin House for a few days, every few months. It has allowed her to access proper bathing facilities, which we still haven't got at home. Also it has given her Dad and I a chance to get some proper rest and spend time with her sister, which has been beneficial for the whole family.

Hi MaryL30

I am so pleased that we were able to support you and your daughter after her spinal surgery, and that she has been able to access bathing facilities in rhe hospice.

As you know COVID-19 restrictions has resulted in us being unable to provide planned respite, your comments show just how important it has been for us to be able to provide crisis stays to families.

I hope we will get to see you in the not too distant future for a planned stay

Best wishes

Nicky Bridges
