Anything else?
Southampton General Hospital Eye Unit has an enviable reputation for world leading advances in cutting edge procedures. Which might explain demands upon their valuable time But my wife, (who is Diabetic and 72 years old, and knows quite a lot about time's real value!), had a routine Cataract operation scheduled to take place last September, but it was "postponed" pending a minor change to her dibetes medication, and unfortunately she is still waiting, very patiently, but with steadily deterioriating vision, four months later, for a fresh appointment.
We can all live with queues and long waiting times when necessary, but uncertainty, being less justifiable, is very hard to take.
ps. I I see that your list of departments below, does not include the Eye Unit. I hope this cry for help will be heard in the right place!
Regards,
T.B.
