"Received very good care"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Anything else?

I was admitted over Christmas with a blood clot. It had become worse as my GP could not make an appmt for me and failed to diagnose me over the phone, despite me saying my arm and neck were swollen. Anyway the care I received from all departments at the QMC was brilliant. They knew straight away it was a clot - even before scans confirmed it. Hospital was clean and staff friendly. My only criticism was on my final day, after coming out of Intensive care, I was put on a dementia unit whilst receiving anti cogulants. I am 35 years old and really shouldn't have been put on that ward. I eventually asked to go home and requested injections to do myself at home. Overall very good

Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us your recent experience of care at our QMC Campus. It’s good to hear the quality of care you received was of high standard. We will pass on your comments to colleagues in ICU. If you could get in touch with us to provide more details on 0800 1830204, we will get back to you directly to describe the particular circumstances which led to you being admitted to the base ward you describe after ICU.
