"Unable to get update on mum and unable to visit"

About: Surrey And Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Inpatient mental health care

(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to the Abraham Cowley Unit St Peters Hospital  two weeks ago. I can not visit due to COVID-19 regulations. I am finding it almost impossible to get any information or updates from staff.  When I phone the number on the ward webpage and the number given to families an admin person answers it and tells you to phone a different number.

There is a answer machine but messages left are never returned.

My mother is elderly and her condition means she is unable to give me accurate information about how she is and her treatment. The nature of her condition also means staff can not accurately assess mum without knowing from family what she is like when well and whether information she is giving them about herself, contact with families is therefore vital for my mother's treatment and care.
