What I liked
On Dec 20th I attended A&E in the evening, referred from the emergency dental service because of bleeding from the site of a dental procedure earlier in the day. It was a calm, clean and comfortable atmosphere in the waiting room, despite the fact that there were some 25 patients awaiting treatment. I did not have to wait very long and was triaged and sent in for treatment quite quickly. The maxillofacial doctor was very polite and treated me very caringly and efficiently. I was very impressed with A&E at the JR (- it was not at what I had expected!
Let's hear it for the NHS and its staff!
What could be improved
Slightly better lighting in the car park at night, and better signage of A&E from the car park.
Had to put my coat and bag on the floor in the treatment cubicle - a hook or chair might have been helpful.
"My experience of treatment in A&E could hardly..."
