"Muscular Skeletal Service High Wycombe"

About: Mid & South Buckinghamshire Diagnostic NHS Centre / Diagnostic imaging

(as a service user),

Can't speak too highly of my experience with this service. From my initial session with Verity senior physio through ultrasound, X-ray and MRI scan, the service was professional, well organised and very patient centric. With only one exception all staff were welcoming, friendly, informative and keen to make the experience as easy as possible. Information charts in the MRI waiting area were up to date and very helpful. To have an MRI scan on a Saturday,  with the results ready to be discussed on Monday afternoon, was extremely impressive. I also  like the Green card system where you can ring direct within 9 months if symptoms get worse.

I would single out Verity for her superb co-ordination of my experience and for keeping me informed at each stage, but the staff in ultrasound and MRI also deserve mention.

Only one slight niggle - I wish the service sent a copy of the discharge summary direct to the patient, rather than having to request a copy from the GP. In the current climate getting through to the GP surgery to request a copy is not easy.
