About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Surgery (wards 64, 65, 66,& 67) Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Physiotherapy Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 26, 27, 61 & 62 ) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

Last Thursday I had a bad accident at home. Being an NHS employee  I already know how much the NHS rocks, despite the pandemic, despite nurses, doctors, ancillary staff all being exhausted, the treatment and care I was given was truly outstanding.

To Ronnie, Richard, Elaine and Erin the amazing paramedic and ambulance crew to the GRI Ed resus team who looked after me, Drs Jen and Leah, nurses Morag and Marie, to ward 61 ortho staff- SCN Marie Alan, Louise, Ashton, Rebecca  Baz, Elaine, Fiona Stephanie and Aimee, to the theatre team Drs shebaz, Alex, Rebecca, Alisdair and Mr Gupta theatre and recovery nurses Tracy, David and Reeva your care and compassion was amazing. I was truly terrified and you made me feel so much better with your chat and reassurance. To the ward domestics and the porters who made me giggle and to the physios.  You truly are an outstanding, resilient bunch of people and I am so immensely proud to be part of the nhs family with you all.

However, I am really pleased to read about the experience you received from our staff and if you would like, I can pass on your comments to the staff involved. We would be more than happy to do this. You can do this by completing our feedback form at https://www.scottishambulance.com/Content/EmailUs.aspx?Dept=Patient Experience and someone will be in contact.
