I was diagnosed with a kidney stone and was under the care of Ms Seaward at the New Victoria Hospital in Glasgow.
I need to say Ms Seaward was really lovely. She was down to earth and made time to chat which I really appreciated.
My first procedure required me to leave hospital with a stent and return later to have the stone removed. I really struggled with pain from the stent and told Ms Seaward this on my return. I asked that if possible, could I not have another stent. She advised it would be a judgement call during the surgery.
After the surgery MsSeaward came to see me and said she had been really thorough removing the stone fragments which meant I did not require another stent.
I was so relieved and thought this was really kind as she knew how much I’d struggled with pain from the stent.
One day after the surgery I am pain free, I honestly can’t believe it. I’ve had pain in my kidney for such a long time and for it now to be gone I’m so grateful.
Ms Seaward and her secretary Cheryl have been lovely thorough this process and most helpful communicating during these challenging times.
