"Tomorrow will be a good day"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cancer Services

(as a service user),

Dear Shaun,

I must thank you for the experience of opening up to voice my concerns about my condition in the Cancer care counselling service. Not something I would usually do but a very useful new experience and one I can recommend to others in the same rowing boat. You helped me through a very difficult time pain-wise and now my ship is sailing full of joy once again towards the horizon (wherever that is). The suprapubic catheter has turned my life around and I can heartily recommend it to any other sufferers of my condition.

I believe I have passed through a bad stage thanks to your caring concern and am now set on resuming all of those good things in my life (Covid-19 permitting) and possibly a little Christmas cheer too although without children and grandchildren but tomorrow will be a good day as Captain Sir Tom said.

Keep up the good work and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

Dear Meteor4B

Thank you for your time in leaving such lovely feedback regarding your counselling experience with Shaun. It means a great deal to Shaun and our team to know that your counselling sessions have been of help as we strive to offer the best support possible for people living with and beyond cancer and their families in North Devon. I am so pleased to hear that you had the support you needed from Shaun in a difficult time of physical pain and that you are now ‘sailing full of joy’ again.

Both Shaun and the team wish you the very best going forwards.

Jess
