What I liked
The walk-in system is a good option and I was seen within 30minutes. The receptionist was polite and prompt.
What could be improved
There was some confusion about whose turn it was to go into the x-ray room. It was not made clear at what point the radiologist needed to see the paperwork. Other patients who came out of the x-ray room who needed follow-up services were unsure what to do next.
More importantly, it is not acceptable for females to change into a gown and then sit for 10 minutes or more in a mixed sex busy waiting room, which has two busy corridors adjacent, and which is, in addition, used as a thoroughfare. There is a loss of dignity to be sitting bra-less in such an environment. Females should to be able to change behind a screen in the x-ray room.
I changed in the x-ray room as the radiologist (male) didn't realise until the last moment that I was not gowned up as he confused my husband with me!
Anything else?
My experience took place in the walk-in x-ray department but there doesn't seem to be an option to select this above...
