"Appointment"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I was a inpatient after a op was sent home to wait for my next appointment, I was not told what it would involve, after many weeks of waiting and in pain I got the letter through. It did not state they were planning doing a procedure that day.

I turned up to be told they were planning it that day. Due to how much pain I’m in I told them I needed to know beforehand so I could have brought painkillers as I have a 30 min journey home. So now I’m not back on the list which I was told it will be a long wait as there is a list of 2000 patients to go through.

I explained how much pain I’m in and how it’s effecting my life. All this could have been prevented if they told me exactly what they were planning. And no idea when I will next be seen. The lack of care is hideous. So now I’m left again waiting in limbo in horrendous pain. 

Never ever experienced a hospital to be like this ever. I feel very let down at all of this. It’s unacceptable
