I had an operation in 2018 which was a borderline mucinous adenocarcinoma of the left ovary, resulting in a left oophorectomy. The care I received was absolutely amazing.
The staff on Meavy where so caring! I remember one night I was upset about what this operation meant for me to have children. A carer came into my room to check me on her rounds, saw that I was upset and sat with me until I calmed down. Then when I was finally being discharged on day 5, the nurse that looked after me during my stay, sat with me and made me feel so much better about the situation I was in.
The care and compassion that this ward has is beyond amazing! I want to thank the entire team on Meavy ward. I also want to thank the surgeon that did the procedure. You are all amazing, thank you all.
