About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Went for inspection on a extremely swollen hand which appeared overnight, 

Very painful to touch and red. Good service given by everyone.

Visited A &E with two swollen hands with the right one the size of a balloon, A&E admitted to the C22, stayed there for two nights and was then transferred to ( I think ) B6. Did not have much to do with the staff on C ward as I was in a single room for one night and one night in the four bedded room. When moved to the B ward I had more contact with all the staff and that’s where the staff worked over and above, I think, their care of duty, nothing seemed to be To much trouble, if they had a spare moment,, cup of tea, biscuits, and anything within reason, they were great ambassadors of the NHS. Well done B ward proud of you all.
