"Cannot fault GP"

About: The Greenway Medical Practice

(as the patient),

I can not fault my GP surgery since we went into lockdown and since .

There has been so much in the media about people not being able to see a Dr , surgery’s being closed etc .
I have seen a Dr twice during COVID. I was triaged over the phone and due to having a really bad headache that had gone on for over a week I was told to go down to be seen, just to make sure there was nothing serious going on . I was then seen  last week due to problem with my hearing and dizziness. Again I was triaged over the phone.
This week my dizziness /vertigo got worse so I had a telephone consultation with the Dr who did me another prescription . I was happy with this as didn’t feel I needed to be seen again. However I was reassured that if I felt worse to phone back for advice.
I totally agree with the triage system as they need to be only seeing patients that they feel need to be seen or who they can’t assess over the phone. I wasn’t expecting to be seen on either occasion and would have understood and trusted the Dr’s decision and judgement if he/she had chosen to maybe send a prescription to the chemist for me to collect . We don’t always need to actually be seen and we need to understand that .
When I did attend the surgery I felt very safe due to the systems in place and the PPE .
It is such a stressful time right now for our NHS and they are doing their absolute best for us .
No GP doesn’t want to see patients , it is about triaging and risk .
Thank you you to Dr Cameron and Dr Majid.
