Took my daughter today down to A and E as she is 9 weeks pregnant and was bleeding heavily so she was obviously very distressed and she has mental health issues. The nurses would not let me stay with her mentioning corona virus. We both had masks so why should my presence calming my daughter be any problem. There were others with no masks and no staff confronted them. Plus a lady was with her parents and was not asked to leave and yet I had to go outside. I mentioned my daughter had mental health issues and she needed me to be with her plus there should be consistency and was told there was which was a ridiculous comment when clearly there was not. Toilets and entrance to area not clean plus people smoking outside when hospital banned it last Tuesday. My daughter received no sympathy from a doctor but she had been told when she rang up St James a gynaecologist could see her if she came down which proved not to be true. An absolute shambles and so we have paid for a scan privately so my daughter can find out if she has miscarriaged. Totally unorganised and no communication. Very poor
"very poor care"
