I was admitted to the golden jubilee for a planned operation, to have my pacemaker and leads removed. Unfortunately in theatre I became very unwell and ended up in intensive care, I was been kept alive by medication as I am pacemaker dependent and I didn't have a new one in. The team in the intensive care two unit couldnt do enough for me and looked after me so well. I was then moved to ccu where again the team of drs and nurses looked after me. During my stay there I suffered a cardiac arrest and if it wasnt for the nightshift team I wouldnt be here today, they saved my life, and got me as well as they could to go back to theatre and have a pacemaker and defib fitted. The whole team in ccu went above and beyond the call of duty not just for me but for my family during what was the worst two weeks ever, they really are the best. I was transferred to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to continue my recovery. There's not enough thank yous for all the staff in the hospitals done for me its thanks to them I am able to write this today and be home with my family.
