"Waiting for eye surgery to treat entropion"

About: Princess Alexandra Eye Pavillion

(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP to the eye Pavillion in Edinburgh in May and I must say that my GP has been excellent however the waiting list office in the hospital  have told me different things to why they are not doing any clinics at present as they have not been given permission by the Scottish Govt .

Can you tell me if this is the case as I know they doing some clinics .

Dear 'Stephen R'

Thank you for getting in touch.

During the last few months, the Ophthalmology team in NHS Lothian provided services only for emergency and urgent patients.

As of 3rd August, we have recommenced seeing routine patients. In terms of entropion, patients are currently scheduled based on clinical urgency first and then in chronological order.

If you would like to discuss this a bit further, please contact Dee Knox - Assistant Clinical Service Manager on 07773226706.who can arrange a clinical review of your referral.

Kind regards,

Aris
