"Care by the a & e dept"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / Rheumatology

(as a service user),

I had a flair up of excruciating pain caused by inflammatory arthritis. Whilst it was too much of a fuss to get past the first huddle of getting through the entrance ( being ask unnecessary & irrelevant questions to gain admittance), once beyond that, the care from the drs & nurses & follow up by Dr Chikora of Rheumatology was outstanding. Very caring & extremely professional & productive treatment.

I am sorry you felt the questions asked at the ED front door were "unnecessary and irrelevant". We are working in a pandemic situation and have an ongoing segregation in the department. The purpose of the questions is to reduce the risk to all those attending the department. The questions are asked to ensure each patient follows the correct pathway.

I am pleased to hear that you found the staff to be outstanding and thankyou for taking the time to leave your feedback.
