What I liked
From the moment I walked into Richard Bright Ward, I was welcomed and treated like a VIP. From the cleaners (who were excellent, it was spotless), the Food (the food was much better than I've ever had in other hospitals and the cheery smiles from the assistants helped brighten
up the day), the Nurses (I include them all in this as I don't remember all the names - they cared for me and looked after me), to the Doctors (I admit my other health problems are a challenge but they did their utmost to find out what was wrong with me). I'd also like to thank the Consultant who did an excellent job in getting a biopsy done on me. I realise it isn't easy, but she had confidence she would do it, and she did. Both her and her assistant (sorry can't remember her name) treated me with care and dignity and put me at my ease when undergoing a second procedure in two days.
What could be improved
One of the Nurses although good at the job, could've been a bit more respectful when talking on the phone and to other Nurses about me. I didn't want to complain about it, as it was the only thing on the Ward that wasn't 100%. Also one person in the X-Ray/Utrasound Department was quite 'off' and didn't give me much confidence when undergoing a procedure.
Anything else?
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Ward, it was excellent and you couldn't ask for better. I've been in many hospitals unfortunately, but this one is the best I've been in, and if I had to go again as an inpatient, it wouldn't bother me at all.
"An excellent hospital with fantastic caring staff..."
