"Fracture clinic and two visits."

About: Rotherham Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I went to the Rotherham hospital fracture clinic around Easter this year 2020, I had several views taken of my foot and ankle in x-ray. I am at vulnerable risk at the moment so wasn't keen on going to any hospital let alone out but needed because of of the pain I'm suffering.

The x-rays had got back and been checked just as I had sat back down in the waiting waiting room, I was told the the x-rays were all good as there was not any breaks, I went home and had my leg elevated above my head all the rest of the day and the day after. The pain has been gradually increasing, it's been waking me up and it's been also preventing me from sleeping, this isn't good as I suffer with seizures due to FND.

The following day I received a call off a doctor from the clinic, who asked how I was doing and about my leg, and then told me there was a small crack been seen on the x-ray. I said I was taking prescribed pain relief but that wasn't touching it. They rang me back soon after and had said another Dr had also looked and seen a small crack, if the pain became unbearable for or I struggled to walk or the swelling had increased to go back to a&e then the clinic.

I went to the clinic today as I had been asked too, only to be told off a different Dr there is no crack and they can't do anything for me, there's damage and floating bone from a old injury five year ago.

The fact is I've ended up going great risk the second time when they could just have told me on the phone, and £40 in taxis, how can two doctors say and agree but yet just one disagrees and I suffer, it's not great I got offered a boot well it's no good to me, I have falls as it is with one of those helping me.
