My 16 month old son and I visited today after he fell and sustained a nasty wee cut on his head requiring some steri strips. I just want to thank everyone at the MIU today.
From the person I spoke to on the phone before we attended, the person who then greeted us at the door due to the current covid 19 situation, the check in, the directions to the waiting room and the promptness of being seen - I can’t fault any of it. The unit was spotless, hand gel was readily available, distancing was clearly marked out.
Debbie the ANP who saw us, was amazing. She was so good with my son, examined him from top to toe and reassured me that he was fine. She was outstanding and clearly told me everything I needed to keep an eye on, and what to do if I had any concerns and gave me the chance to ask questions. She was lovely with my son and I just want her to know how grateful I was.
It’s a very funny time for everyone just now with the covid-19 outbreak - Debbie wasn’t dealing with that today, but she was there for me and my son when we needed seen and for that I thank her and everyone else at MIU. Stay safe everyone.
