About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology Services

(as a service user),

I went to women’s day clinic at ari for a colposcopy.

The 2 nurses and healthcare assistant were very friendly and reassuring . They explained everything to me and answered all my questions. The treatment room was clean and tidy . I can’t remember all there names but the nurse carrying out treatment was j Wilson . 

They helped make an experience that I was anxious about a positive experience . 

My only thing I would like to Feedback for learning is that there was an associate physician trainee in the room that I consented to be in the room however they did not introduce themselves . 

Thanks women’s day clinic staff .

Thank you for your lovely post about your positive experience at your recent visit to the Women's Day Clinic. A colposcopy procedure can cause anxiety but I am delighted the nurses made this a positive experience by keeping you well informed throughout, and answered your questions. The nursing team strive to keep their department clean and tidy.

I will ensure your feedback is shared with Judith personally and the nursing team and also the person responsible for the associate physician trainee. All staff should introduce themselves to patients.

I hope you have recovered quickly following your procedure.
