What I liked
Nurses were very good
What could be improved
The communications between patient and doctor. The whole thing was a complete waste of time, not surprised the NHS is short of money. The boy was prepped under full anesthetic. Went in to surgery, came back with the problem untreated after half and hour!! Doctor said it could not be done as bone was fused after 8 days of initail injury(the date chosen by the hospital to do the job as they need 5days for swelling to go down and within 16 days from fracture rehealing) and would have to come back and get it re broken to correct. This was to be done at 18 years old so has to wait 3 years with the problem. Asked why as he was under it could not be done at the time and what is differant to doing it at 18? He implied that if he does contact sport it may have to be done again so come back then!! Really, What was the point of the stress of preparing for opp, being there all day. I really think a complet waste of money for hospital with all theatre staff and anesthetic and time when people are waitng for surgery. Why not just do the job instead of passing it on for someone else to sort out still on the NHS as it was caused by a trama( acording to the doctor) The experience was frustrating to the exteme, with no outcome, went in with broken nose, came out with broken nose
"What a waste of everyones time."
