My father was admitted via ambulance to A&E with a suspected MI and pneumonia and having been cared for superbly by the attending paramedics and moved to AAU afterwards, (for assessment), he remained there for five days, as the doctors needed to stabilise him and assess his health.
Although fortunate in not having to wait in A&E, (as subsequent emergency arrivals were forced to queue in the corridor), the level of care was nothing short of amazing and staff on AAU Green were excellent.
The NHS often gets a bad press, due to a lack of resources and the immense influx of patients, but for the angels who work in the profession, (especially at Watford and the wards mentioned), I have nothing but praise and admiration, as they deliver the best service possible, (given the circumstances) and their dedication and professionalism is nothing short of outstanding.
Thankfully, my father appears to be on the mend, but this is only down to the expertese and care delivered by the individuals at Watford, each and every one of them. Thank you.
"Green Ward - the level of care was nothing short of amazing"
