"Lovely staff on ward J23"

About: St James's University Hospital

After my initial frustration of been sent home for surgery due to lack of beds I was given another date 7 weeks later. Luckily this time it all went to plan and I’m very grateful for the care I received on the breast oncology ward. The staff were very kind and took very good care of me and gave me plenty of advice about after care and medication. The food was good too. I was very happy with the result of the surgery and I’m very grateful for the NHS.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

I am very sorry to hear about the delay with your surgery and understand that this must have been a very worrying time for you.

Regarding the surgery itself and I am extremely pleased that you had such a positive experience whilst in our care.

I have passed your kind words onto the matron for Breast Oncology and asked that your positive feedback is shared with the team. I know that all the staff will be delighted to know that they are delivering a level of care that met your needs and fulfilled all your expectations.

With kindest regards
