"All the staff were very helpful, compassionate and polite"

About: Northwick Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Northwick Park Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I am 78 and collapsed unconscious, bled badly and crashed my forehead on the ground. I was taken by a friend to Northwick Park A& E. Seen straight away, brain scan and ECG. All the staff were very helpful, compassionate and polite. The treatment I had was amazing. I was fitted with a heart monitor. When I returned for the results I was admitted to ICU and a pacemaker fitted 3 days later. From the Surgeon, sister, nurses, ward helpers, cardiologist and department staff I cannot commend them enough. Everyone was so kind, compassionate and professional. All was a big shock to me as I haven't been in hospital for 47 years and considered myself very healthy and fit. I wish to thank everyone at Northwick Park for my fantastic treatment.
