As an in-patient for two days, and an out-patient subsequently, I was treated from start to finish with care, respect, and first class medical treatment. All staff were wonderful, in A & E, and the Acute Medical Unit, and I was particularly impressed by the treatment of other patients with much more complex needs than myself.
Two points: maintenance (bathrooms, loos etc.) was poor; broken showers, and missing door locks, which had, apparently, been reported months ago, remained unfixed.
Staff writing down patient details on scraps of paper seemed surprising in 2019: the use of IT to digitalise information would surely increase efficiency.
Finally, the enthusiasm and professionalism of the junior [?] doctors I saw was exemplary; I felt very safe in their hands.
Well done.
