"waiting time"

About: Russells Hall Hospital / Ophthalmology

On Monday 23/09/2019 had a appointment at 14:15. One hour later called in for initial examination, no reason given for the wait. Five minute consultation then asked to wait again.

Forty five minuets later saw consultant for another five minuets consultation. Sent out again to wait for two more tests to be done therefore more waiting. To have the second test done I was just shouted into a room, no idea where the voice was coming from and no idea what room to go into because the nurse could not be bothered to get out of her seat to call me in. The other patients that were waiting were treated in the same manner. The nurse commented on how long i'd been waiting but still didn't offer any explanation. So again asked to wait before seeing the consultant again. Finally had another five minute consultation an all done. Got to the hospital at 13.30 due to your impossible car parking and left at 17.45pm. Over four hours for no more than twenty minutes of consultation time. At no point in all that time was any reason or explanation given or offered for the amount of time a simple consultation should take. DISGRACEFUL. Utterly appalling example of OUR NHS.
