"Make healthy food the focus"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

Absolutely amazing care at Stepping Hill maternity ward. 

The restaurant and food services, however, WOW! They are a complete disgrace. Everyone knows what a healthy meal looks like so I won't bother to explain,  but safe to say there wasn't one in sight. No ifs, no buts, the food really is shameful. A hospital is supposed to be a health promoting place.

At least if you get heart disease from the restaurant you won't have to travel far for a bypass!

Make vegetables, whole grains and pulses  the focus, it's really very easy.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your recent experience. I am pleased to heard of your positive experience in Maternity and I have shared this with the team.

I have shared your comments with the Catering team and they informed me that they are currently conducting a menu review and they will certainly use the feedback to assist the formulation of any menu changes
