"Disgusted with A & E"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital / A&E and trauma unit

Doctor wanted mum to go to hospital for emergency blood tests as her sodium levels were low, whilst there one of the nurses tried to get mum off the bed & onto wheelchair, which if they read her notes ,she isn't able to walk & has a built up shoe, they didn't lower the bed or put mums shoes on,so she slipped on the floor ,and again slipped on floor then the nurse called someone to help to get her up,3 times she was on the floor & they told her not to tell anyone, one of the nurses tried lifting her up by her arms now there painfull, which mum told me on the way home, when the doctor called me,I told them if she has a hot drink to please put in her beaker as she's very shakey, did they do this NO,I had to get nurse to find frame to transfer to her wheelchair,I'm Not happy with the treatment from A & E this time,it's gone downhill, next time I won't allow her to come here, came home with no paperwork to say what they did, I'm very disgusted with the staff at A & E,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback about your mothers care in A&E at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. I am very sorry that the nurses did not read your mothers notes and that your mother suffered falls. I hope your mother is now recovering well.

I will pass on your feedback to A&E. If you wish to discuss this matter further, please contact the PALS office on 01622 224960 or e mail us at mtw-tr.palsoffice@nhs.net.
