About: Albion Medical Practice

(as a relative),

My relative, residing in a Care Home, became extremely unwell following an erroneous medical decision to withdraw insulin. Albion Medical Practice in Ashton-under-Lyne recognised the gravity of the situation and fast tracked his registration at their Surgery. (It is a legal right for a patient to change Surgery and request a second opinion from another GP.) The GP Dr Douglas stayed behind after a busy Friday afternoon surgery to see my relative.

He tracked my relative's diabetic history through the GP back records and recognised the urgent need for insulin to be recommenced. Dr Douglas was kind, compassionate and reassuring. He did not rush us despite  being tired at the end of a long day. We are extremely grateful to this outstanding conscientious GP and Practice staff.
