What I liked
My father was rushed to Pinderfield by ambulance having had a stroke. He was suffering from advanced bladder cancer and kidney failure and in fact had only hours to live.
He was not previously a patient there so they had no immediate knowledge of him but he died the following day having had excellent care and support.
The ambulance team were amazing and managed to keep me calm as well as looking after dad. The staff in ressus were caring, kind and really gentle in their approach and their care for the family as they arrived.
They even moved us to a room on a ward where we could be with him for his last moments in peace.
Losing Dad has been traumatic but the care and support of the excellent staff made it just that little bit easier. Thank you.
