What I liked
All the nurses worked hard, and long hours, they were understaffed, but still did a good job, apart from not cleaning up, after a elderly lady wet herself in the shared toilet on the floor, and it was not seen to until the next day when the cleaner came in, and we all had to use this toilet, the lady was really upset that she had done this, I know the staff are busy but surely this should have been a priority.
What could be improved
Day of discharge was rather confusing, no one seemed to know who had what done.
and there was no one, and not enough wheel chairs to help get you to the discharge lounge, i literately had to ask some one to help me, as the nurse on duty that day said she could not do anything, I was very anxious about this, and she just left me.
Also she told me twice that they would contact my surgery regarding when the staples should come out, yet after 14 days, I phoned my doctors, and they knew nothing about me.
I was told that I would get excercises, to do, but I am a little confused as I saw a physio once, who gave me some knee excercises and that was it, I am not sure if I should be doing more, as I have not heard from anyone, and not sure who to ask.
Anything else?
I think the hospitals do a good job, but with little staff which is not their fault, apart with some minor issues it is a good hospital, and clean.
"would definitely recommend this hospital, but ask..."
