What I liked
Nothing
What could be improved
waiteing time is terrible my apointment was 10am !!!! sat in an over crouded hot waiteing area for over 70 mins ? no reason was given why I was kept waiteing this long ( I thought apoinment times were there for a reason ??? this looks as it is not the case ) .
Then after all that waiteing had to come back again for a ultra sound yet again another waite of 40 mins past my apointment time ???? Then my partner was refused the right to be with me ( ultra sound area is not a restriced area like xray ??? ,,,, when asked why he could not accompany me the responce i got was a sharp he carnt ,,,, this made me even more uncomfortable ,, when I was all ready in great pain and fealing sick . The staffs attitude towards patients and the people who come with them leaves a great deal to be desired .
Lets hope the Trust managers read these comments ,, may be they need to get out on the shop floor and see the low standard of patient service that is given . And how long patients have to sit and waite well after there apointment time ???
My advice to others looking to be treated at Darlington is to look else were staff are rude and have no customer service skills at all .
Car parking is simpley a joke you have to get there at least and hour befor your apointment time to sit and strugle for a space then I had to send my partner out to put more time on the ticked.
Due to the fact of haveing to waite so long after my apointment time . two apointments in one day cost me £7.00 in parking ? people dont go to hospital for the fun of it car parking is a joke to little spaces and to many people trying to use them
Anything else?
Staff in the ultra sound unit realy need to be retrained in customer service and how to speak to people ,,,, Patients are people not just a number to be moved about like cattle . over crouded waiteing areas ,, and apointment times that run well past a level of time that isnt exceptible
"Very poor a terrible experience"
