"Treated with great respect and kindness"

About: Solihull Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a relative),

My mother has urged me to write to you on her behalf in order that she can pass on her gratitude following her day case admission to Solihull Hospital for her second cataract surgery.

She was admitted at 8.00am and was back home at lunchtime. During this time she was treated with great respect and kindness by all staff and particularly the volunteers who ensured that she was fed and watered. She commented how delicious the tuna sandwiches were and how the tea tasted so good. She cannot recommend the staff at Solihull highly enough and would like her comments to be passed directly to the staff on the ophthalmology day surgery team. Thank you so much.

Dear Irishwriters

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback following your mother’s recent experience at Solihull Hospital for Ophthalmology surgery.

I am so pleased to read that she felt supported and well cared for throughout and informed by our staff who do work very hard to ensure a positive patient experience regardless of how busy their workload is.

I will ensure that your feedback is communicated to the Ophthalmology and Volunteer Department team’s at Solihull Hospital who will be so pleased to learn that you felt you were treated with respect and kindness.

I hope that she has since recovered well and is enjoying life.

Thank you for taking the time to post your mother’s feedback.

Kind regards

Patient Experience Team
