"Children’s A&E"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

I brought my son to A&E late one evening as we had been to the gp earlier in the day and my son continued to get worse and at one point was not as responsive. We saw the triage nurse who was very thorough and compassionate. When it came to seeing the doctor we saw a registrar they were amazing, acted very fast and admitted my son and put me at ease. Thanks Sunderland royal hospital my son has now fully recovered you are all amazing

Very glad to hear that your son has now recovered. I can imagine this was a very worrying experience for you. We have a fantastic ED and paediatric team so your son would have been in good hands. Thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback and let us know about your son's care.
